Habakkuk 3:17-18

Habakkuk 3:17-18
Though the fig tree does not bud
and there are no grapes on the vines,
though the olive crop fails
and the fields produce no food,
though there are no sheep in the pen
and no cattle in the stalls,
yet I will rejoice in the Lord,
I will be joyful in God my Saviour.

I read through Habakkuk today and it's just encouraging to see his faith and God's faithfulness and mercy and grace in the midst of a promised destruction that was coming. God is just, he is mighty and he will put an end to sin. But he will also save his people and we have hope - though everything may be wrong, though it may all seem hopeless and there be nothing to rejoice in, we can rejoice in God, who has saved us in Jesus if we are christians, who has dealt with our sin in full and who has promised us eternal life and joy in his presence (and who always keeps his promises).

God Bless!
